Once the fruit has been packaged, it is prepared for each customer on different sized pallets. After each box has been labelled with its lot and traceability details, the pallets are taken to the expedition chambers so the fruit can be kept cold until the refrigerated lorries arrive to take it to its destination.
Our refrigerated warehouses are environmentally friendly. During this handling stage the parameters that must be controlled and kept at optimal levels are temperature, level of ethylene and ambient humidity.
The Kiwiastur Asturian kiwi is available throughout the Spanish kiwifruit season, from the middle of November until July.
